I’m far from a tech wizard, but with the help of Animoto, I had fun putting together this trailer for “Soul Winners.” (Make sure to turn up the audio!) Enjoy!
First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like
to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and
clear your thoughts prior to writing. I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to
15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips?
Kudos!

Thanks for the kind words! I find that I concentrate best early in the morning. Sometimes I’ll take a walk to clear my head and think about what I want to accomplish. I always make sure I have coffee and a light breakfast before getting started. It helps to have a routine you look forward to and a comfortable, quiet place to write. I’m old-fashioned and set at a desk in front of an iMac with all my research materials within easy reach. I try to set up goals I can achieve in the amount of time I’ve set aside. I write out a detailed outline to keep me on course. When I finish writing for the day, I like to “park downhill,” which means I leave on a note that I can easily follow through on the following day. Hope this helps!
